PS3 Price Drop
The rumors floating on the Internet for the past week was confirmed when Sony officially dropped the price of the PS3 (60Gb version) to $499. Now that the difference between the 360 ($399) and the PS3 is only $100, it appears to be a good value proposition:
- extra 40 Gb HD
- HDMI output at 1080p
- Blu Ray movie playback
- 33 percent lighter, 19 percent slimmer outfit
- sped up game load times from UMD (by memory cache)
- improved battery life
- video output capability to allow you to play your PSP games or watch UMD movies on a big screen TV

Interesting regarding the PSP - they should put a small hard drive on it, and there was some rumour about a phone.
Regarding PS3, another early admittance of too expensive console. I still wouldn't buy a PS3 at that price, especially the HDDVD/BlueRay war is not over, and there are no killer games available for the PS3 - until Metal Gear or Gran Turismo - I would wait. Bring on Halo3
Don't forget the Wii.

The Wii just gets stronger and the stronger. Mario Kart Wii, Metroid looks great and what an idea from Ninentdo regarding the balance board. I thought something innovative would next come from Sony to boost their sales, but even their main problem is selling the console! I will be getting a wii
just wish I could afford one.. I am totally out of touch with the gamer in me..
